 Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust operates across two main sites at Queens and King George hospitals. The Trust serves a population of around 700,000, from a wide range of social and ethnic groups, making it one of the largest acute hospital trusts in England. Following a re-organisation of the management structure for Non Clinical Support Services Division we are now inviting applications for the post of Contract Manager (Hard FM) to provide an efficient and effective role in managing a robust audit regime of FM / PFI services, with a current contract value of circa £50 million alongside the associated FM / capital contracts and small works projects.
Reporting to the General Manager you will have responsibility for the management and monitoring of PFI and TFM contracts and delivery of Hard FM Services. You will develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Service Provider and internal service users, applying an expert knowledge of building / Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services to ensure awareness of all issues that may impact on performance and act accordingly, working alongside the team to deliver Cost Improvement Programmes and Income Generation.

A proven ability to make well founded decisions on a range of complex Hard FM project issues and an excellent understanding of the national guidance on PFI and PFI process
Experience of contract management in the public sector
Experience of staff management or senior supervision or management of contractors relating to installation and maintenance of Hard FM services
